| People Needed: | 4 people (teams of 2, teams sitting across from each other). |
| Need to play: | Deck of cards |
| Object: | Get your team's predicted tricks without going over while making it so your opponent misses theirs. |
| How its played: | Deal entire deck evenly out to each player. Each team then (after looking at their cards) call an amount of books they expect to make (this will make more sense later). The person to the left of the dealer begins and it goes in a clockwise manner. The person beginning the game throws out any card (except a wild - discussed later). The remaining players follow by throwing a card of the same suit. Out of the four players who ever threw the highest card wins the "trick". A player can not throw out a wild until they run out of a suit being player (i.e. if someone player a 5 of hearts, and you don't have any hearts then you can throw a wild). This continues until all the cards are played. The order of cards go from:
| Wilds 2 of diamonds, 2 of clubs, 2 of hearts, 2 of spades, then it goes from ace of spades down to 3 of spades | | Regular cards go from aces down to 3's |
|
| Other Rules: | When the cards are all played you count the books you get, if you made the amount of books you predicted (say 5) you add a zero at the end of it and thats the amount of points you get. If you miss the amount of books you called then you lose the amount you predicted with a zero at the end of it. You also get 1 pt for every book over your predicted
minimum bid (amount of books you call) is 4
Games are usually played to 300 or 500
At the end of the game if a team doesn't get the amount of books they call they drink for the amount they called for books in seconds. If a team goes over 10 books in the entire game they slug a beer. |
